Living Painting - Privacy Policy
Living Painting turns a photo of a painting you own into a "living picture" - an animated page in which the light follows the time of day, the seasons turn and the weather changes - and keeps it in a private online library that the Living Frame app downloads to your tablet. This policy says what we collect to do that, what we do with it, who else touches it, and how you delete it. It is written to be read.
1. What we collect
- Your email address, to create your library and sign you in (a 6-digit code is emailed to you; there is no password). Your name, if you give one at sign-up, is used only to name your library.
- The photos you send of paintings, and the notes you write with them (the season, what you would like to see move, what should change).
- What we make from them: the living picture itself, the drafts on the way to it, and the working files behind it (the outlines and settings that describe where the water, trees and sky are - never a copy of the photo except the one you sent).
- Your requests and choices in the app: which submissions you sent, previewed, accepted or sent back, what you said should change, and the settings you pick (for example the "help the studio improve" switch).
- Purchase records: when you buy through an app store, the store sends us a receipt id and what was bought so we can credit your library. We never see your card or bank details; the store handles payment.
- Basic technical records: the time and network address of sign-ins and requests, kept in an audit log so we can find and fix problems and stop abuse.
We do not collect your location, contacts, calendar, advertising identifiers or device identifiers, and we do not use analytics or advertising software in the app. If the app crashes, the details stay on your tablet unless you choose to copy them to us.
2. How we use it
- To make your living picture. Your photo is sent to an AI service, Anthropic's Claude, together with our instructions, and the result is built on our servers. Your photo is used only to make your picture. Anthropic's terms for this kind of use do not allow it to train its models on what we send.
- To keep your library, deliver your pictures to your tablet, and show you the state of your submissions.
- To email you: sign-in codes, "your draft is ready" and "your picture is ready" notices, a notice if a person has to finish a picture by hand, receipts of deletion. We do not send marketing email.
- To help the studio improve, if you allow it (see section 4).
- To run the service safely: rate limits, abuse prevention, and the audit log.
3. Who else touches your data
- Microsoft Azure (United States regions) hosts our servers, storage and email sending. Your library, photos and requests are stored there.
- Anthropic processes your photo to make the living picture, as described above.
- The app store you bought through (Amazon Appstore, Google Play or Apple) handles payment and sends us a receipt.
We do not sell your data, and we do not share it with anyone else, except if the law requires us to.
4. Helping the studio improve - your choice
When you accept a living picture, we can keep the working files behind it - the outlines and settings that say which parts are water, trees, sky and windows - as an example the studio may copy from when it works on someone else's painting. Your photo is not part of that example, and no example is shown to another person. This is on unless you switch it off, in the app under Settings ("Let my accepted paintings help the studio improve"). Switching it off removes the examples already kept from your library and keeps no new ones. None of this is used to train any AI model.
5. How long we keep it
- Your library and everything in it: until you delete it (section 6). A library with no active plan is removed after one year of inactivity, with an email warning first.
- Drafts and working files of a submission: until you accept a draft or the submission is closed, then they are deleted.
- Sign-in codes: 15 minutes. The audit log: 12 months. Purchase records: as long as the law requires.
- Pictures already downloaded to your tablet stay on it until you delete them or the app; they are yours.
6. Deleting your account and data
Two ways, both complete and immediate: in the app, Living Painting → Delete my library; or on the web at naedash.com/living-painting-delete.html with your email and a code we send you. Deleting removes your account, your pictures, your photos and requests, any drafts, and any studio examples kept from your library. What remains: purchase records the law requires, and copies on your own devices.
7. Security
Everything travels over HTTPS. Your library is private to your email address and can be opened only through the app with a code sent to that address. Photos and pictures are stored in private storage that is never served as a public web page. No system is perfectly secure; if we learn of a breach affecting you we will tell you.
8. Children
Living Painting is for adults. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18; if we learn we have, we delete it.
9. Your rights
You can see what we hold about you (your library, requests and settings are all in the app), correct it, export your pictures (Download in the app) and delete everything (section 6). If you live somewhere that gives you further rights over your data, write to us and we will honour them.
10. Changes and contact
If this policy changes in a way that matters, we will say so in the app before it takes effect. Questions or requests: info@naemedsolutions.com, or NAE Medi Solutions LLC, 522 W Riverside Ave Ste N, Spokane, WA 99201, USA.
